Rules and Regulations for Five Oaks Swimming Pool, Inc.
HEALTH REGULATIONS
1. No pets allowed on pool grounds.
2. Admission to the pool shall be refused to anyone with skin abrasions, infections, or wearing bandages.
3. Non-toilet trained children must have a swim diaper and plastic pants on when in pool or on deck. All children under the age of 3, toilet trained or not, must wear plastic pants while in the pool.
4. It is every member's responsibility to dispose of all litter in the proper receptacles provided.
5. No food or beverages are allowed on the pool deck or in the pool.
6. Do NOT come to Five Oaks if you have tested positive for Covid, are awaiting test results, or exhibiting symptoms of Covid or any other infectious illness. If the staff contracts Covid 19, Five Oaks may need to close for an extended period of time. Five Oaks continues to follow CDC guidelines regarding Covid including their isolation and quarantine recommendations which can be found at here.

USE OF GROUNDS
1. Proper conduct is expected of all members and guests at Five Oaks Pool
2. No alcoholic beverages allowed on pool grounds. Exceptions will be made for special events with board approval.
3. No cannabis of any kind is allowed on pool grounds.
4. No smoking or vaping is allowed on the pool grounds inside the fence. Smoking and vaping is allowed for those legally old enough to smoke/vape in designated areas in the parking lot. Five Oaks will comply with all local, state, and federal regulations governing smoking areas.
5. Anyone found possessing alcoholic beverages, using cannabis and/or smoking/vaping on the pool grounds in non-designated areas (including in the bathhouse) may have his or her pool privileges suspended.
6. Gambling and/or excessive noise is not allowed on pool grounds.
7. Property damages costs will be charged to the responsible member.
8. Five Oaks is not responsible for personal property damage or loss.
9. Use of recreational facilities, other than the pool, will be under the direction of the staff. Time limits may be imposed for all facilities if necessary. Special rules may be imposed for all facilities if necessary. Special rules may apply to special events.
10. Members and guests are urged not to leave valuables unattended, either in their car or on the pool grounds. The Pool does provide lockers at no charge to Members or their guests. Members (guests) must leave their Pool ID (driver's license) to obtain a locker key. Lockers are not for overnight use. There is a charge for lost or non-returned keys.
11. Grilling is permitted in designated areas when grills are available and reserved in advanced through the pool management.
12. Only pool-owned and sanctioned fire pits are allowed. These fire pits will be made available at the managers' discretion. Fire pits are intended for lengthy stays at the pool--not for short visits.

3. Safe driving practices should be exercised in the parking lot at all times
4. All members and guests shall be responsible for complying with the parking regulations posted at Five Oaks
5. No parking is permitted in front of the gates near the snack bar or playground or in the fire lanes.

SAFETY REGULATIONS
1. Members and guests are expected to respect authority of Five Oaks staff members at all times.
2. NO GLASS OF ANY KIND IS PERMITTED ON THE POOL GROUNDS.
3. No swimming will be permitted when the pool is officially closed without the manager's permission
4. All children under the age of 12 or who have not completed the sixth grade must be accompanied by an adult or responsible member, who is at least 14 years of age or has completed the 8th grade.
5. Any child under the age of 6 must be under the direct supervision of an adult in the play area. Additionally, young children should be supervised closely while in other areas of the pool grounds, including the bathrooms.
6. Any non-swimming child or flotation dependent child must have an adult in the pool with them within arm's reach.
7. Any members who break the rules and become a problem for the staff, will be subject to aspirate action by the manager, which may result in suspension of pool privileges.
8. No running, pushing, wrestling, or causing undue disturbance in or about the pool, playground area or snack bar. Unnecessary roughness or horseplay will result in appropriate reprimands from the staff.
9. No skateboards or scooters shall be permitted on pool property.
10. When bringing guests, the member must stay with their guests at all times and the member is responsible for their guests. There is a maximum of 6 guests per day.
11. Sponge balls are permitted in the pool. Use of other throwing objects, balls, Frisbees, etc. shall be used with the manager's permission. Crowded conditions may require they be removed from the pool. No balls, throwing objects, etc are allowed in the deep well. Hard balls are not prohibited on pool property (lacrosse, baseball, football).
12. Floats or inflated tubes, approved diving masks and/or flippers are permitted in the pool, not the deep end. Crowded conditions may require they be removed from the pool.
13. All chairs, inner tubes, strollers (basically anything) must be at least eight feet from the edge of the pool.
14. Hanging on or swimming under the lane lanes is not permitted.
15. Lane lines are open to members and guests of all ages for lap swimming only.
16. Members should not move, adjust or tilt the umbrellas.
SLIDE REGULATIONS
1. In order to use the slide you must go down feet first and be able to swim to the ladder, without assistance.
2. Individuals may not catch children as they enter the water at the bottom of the slide.
3. No goggles or flotation devices may be worn while using the slide.
4. Only one person is allowed on the slide (including ladder) at a time. Those waiting to use the slide must have their feet on the deck until the person on the slide has entered the water.
5. The next person to slide is not allowed to go until the bottom of the slide area is clear of people.
6. If a person changes their mind about using the slide, they should remain facing the slide and back down the ladder while holding the handrails.
7. Do not stand up without holding onto the slide. Standing should only be used to position yourself for your turn.

1. Any child under the age of 10 and guests of all ages, using the diving board shall, at the lifeguard's discretion, will demonstrate their ability to swim adequately as determined by the manager.
2. Only one person is allowed on the diving board at a time. Those waiting to use the diving board must have their feet on the deck until the diver has entered the water.
3. The next diver off the board is not allowed to dive until the first diver has reached the ladder.
4. Dive or jump straight off the boards.
5. Cartwheels and handstands are not permitted.
6. Individuals may not catch children jumping from the diving board.
7. Flotation devices or goggles are not permitted when going off the diving boards.
8. Swim directly to the appropriate ladder to exit the dive well.
9. Do not swim under the divider rope and through the lap lanes.
10. Restrict your approach to one bounce on the board.
11. Do not adjust the fulcrums unless you have permission and assistance of the pool manager. The fulcrums are set in place for the safety of all divers.
12. Do not hang on the underside of the board.
13. If you go up the high dive and come back down again, you may not attempt another dive that same day.
14. Swimming is not allowed in the dive well unless a lifeguard closes the diving boards.
15. Only two of the three diving boards are permitted to be used at any time. Management will have discrepancy to close any or all of the diving boards at any time.
