ENTRY DETAILS:
- Three Age Groups: 9-12, 13-14, and 15-18
- All divers are welcome. There are no pre-qualifying events or requirements.
- Synchro Pair entries can be any combination of gender or age. Divers must dive in the group of the older partner.
- Space for this event is limited due to alloted pool time. Entries will be accepted on a first come-first serve basis.
- Scores in this event do not affect Championship eligibility. Divers who choose to compete in a higher age group will not affect their regular season eligibility.
- Each Synchro Pair will be required to bring a CMDL coach and one volunteer (judge or table worker) to the meet. Coaches may also serve as judges.
- Practice available at 5 Oaks from 7:30 - 10 am on Friday, July 7. Divers must be accompanied by their coach.
- Five Oaks is restricting use of the pool to only event divers during practice and meet times. Family and friends will not be allowed in the water.
EVENT REQUIREMENTS:
- 9-12: 3 dives (minimum 2 categories) including 1 voluntary to be performed in first round (any position 101, 201, 301, 401 :DD 1.6) and two optional dives (actual dive DD's).
- 13-14: 4 dives (minimum 3 categories) including 2 voluntaries to be performed in first two rounds (any position 101,201,301,401: DD 1.6) and 2 optional dives (actual dive DD's).
- 15-18: 5 dives (minimum 4 categories) including 2 voluntary dives and 3 optional dives as described above.
- Dives performed by both athletes must be the same dive number.
JUDGING and AWARDS:
- 2+ judges for execution of individual dives
- 3+ judges for synchronization of dives
- High and low scores discarded, if possible
- Two execution scores and three synchronization scores will be added together and multiplied by the DD. and again multiplied by 0.6 for the dive award total.
- Synchronization will be judged on similarity of starting positions, approaches, height, timing of flight movements, vertical angle of entries, distance from diving board and timing of entries.
- Medals for top six pairs in each age group. Participation ribbons for all other teams.
REGISTRATION:
- Fee $20 per diver.
- Please pay by Venmo (preferred) to @EricaPanMah or by check made payable to “Five Oaks Dive Team” and mailed to Five Oaks Swimming Pool, PO Box 9316, Catonsville, MD 21228.
- Registration closes on June 28. In the event of low interest, a decision to cancel the event will be made by June 30. The league and all registrants will be immediately notified.
